For those who carry the spirit…Located in the center of old Muğla, Saburhane is the jewel of the district, with its unique coffeehouses, old houses, and traditional lifestyle.Until 1923, Turks and Greeks lived together here. After the population exchange, the Greek residents left, and the area began to Turkify.The taverns and wineries were closed, churches were emptied, and the shops once run by Greek tradespeople were taken over by locals.This structure, built in the 1930s, is a true example of civil architecture.Having remained unused for many years and fallen into disrepair, Saburhane House underwent a comprehensive restoration between 2015 and 2018, and has since offered short-term and seasonal accommodation with its 4 rooms.
